If $x=y$ then, $x$ and $y$ have exactly the same properties. The contrapositive is:

• $x$ and $y$ dont have the same properties $⟹x\ne y$ It is easy to accept Leibniz’s law but difficult to accept its converse which is Identity of Indiscernables.
