A is a subset of B, denoted $A\subseteq B$, if and only if $\forall x,x\in A\to x\in B$

Linear Algebra

A subset $S$ of $R^n$ is a collection of vectors in $R^n$

Example

$S$ is a subset of $R^4$ where $S=\{(x,y,z,w)\in R^4;x-w=3\}$ Examples of vectors in $S$ include:

• $(1,2,3,-2)$
• $(6,6,6,6)$

Types

• Proper Subset
