Solving Rational Equations

So sometimes rational functions are in equations. You can use all equation techniques. You can cross multiply ONLY in equations.

Example

$\frac{4}{3x-5}=4$

State restrictions: $x\ne \frac{5}{3}$

Solve: $4=4(3x-5)$ $1=3x-5$ $6=3x$ $x=2$
