Defn

• Let $a,r\in \mathbb{R}$, $a\ne 0$
• A series of the form $a+ar+a{r}^2+\cdots ={\sum }_{n=i}^{\infty }a{r}^n$ is a geometric series where:
  • $r$ is the ratio
  • $a{r}^i$ is the base term
