  • 2.4 GHz frequencies travel farther
  • 2.4 GHz frequencies aren’t absorbed by devices

5 GHz

all channels not in red can be used

  • Unlicensed band
  • 25 non-overlapping channels.
  • You can bond several channels together to read 40GHz or 80GHz, but these will limit performance
  • Frequencies tend to get lost by other objects

5.8 GHz

  • Unlicensed band

  • Only available for WI-FI 6
  • Can support 8 bonding channels to reach 160GHz
