Describe an incident that reshaped your approach to teamwork, leadership, or maintaining a positive outlook

My outlook to leadership has changed after I discovered online whiteboards. I discovered that it was much easier to keep my team on the same page if there was a visual medium to explain the necessary concepts. I personally believe that teaching and being taught is the best way to get results done. Because me and my peers are beginners in software development, for us to actually build software the biggest hurdle is learning the tools. Developing that knowledge base for me and my team ensures that even if we are not getting results done, we are learning and that is progress.

How will you make the most out of your experience at DeltaHacks 11, and how will attending the event help you achieve your long-term goals?

I’d like to attend primarily because hackathons are the best way to network with other people. Im hoping to meet self-motivated people and connect with mentors who can teach me more about blockchain and systems security. I do plan to start my own events & workshops in block-chain for my school. I’d will attend hardware, AI and web development workshops if they cover technology I have not previously worked with (hopefully 3JS). I have been keeping up with recent tech news and I would love to talk about where the industry is going.

What’s your go-to comfort food?

Tomato + chicken soup has brought me back to life from many ailments. The soup can be left in the fridge for 2 months without going bad. The same soup base can be used for many different recipes and pair well with anything.

If you could travel anywhere in the universe, where would you go and why?

If i had access to my laptop and a notebook then I’d like to chill in a purgatory-like space. Perhaps the inside of a black-hole (if i don’t get ripped apart entering it)

If you did not have to worry about school/money/time, what is the one thing you would work on?

Software-related, id finish building my operating system. I’d like to have this project finished where i build an operating system from scratch as a long-term project, achieving something like serenityOS where everything in the kernel, bundled software (especially the web-browser) are self-programmed. Its not my end-term goal, but I feel like learning how to make this would teach me quite a bit about software and hardware. I plan to go into vulnerability research and having a range of knowledge in software-development will give me that background to dissect software. Outside of software, I would spend my time searching for aliens and become a SETI hunter.
