Maintenance

Inkjet printers require little physical maintenance. Software exists to automatically maintain the printer. Manual maintenance occurs where:

  • Initial setup of inkjet printers require calibration.
  • Periodic cleaning of printer head with water

Color Layers Aren’t Aligned

  • Recalibrate the printer

No Ink coming out

  • Ink in the print head dried up due to infrequent use of printer
  • Overheated printer
  • Multiple pages are being fed at the same time as a result of humidity
  • Excessive ink bin overflowed and broke printer

Paper Jam

  1. Remove paper tray
  2. Vigorously remove paper. If the printer has an option to release tension, then press it

Vertical Lines on Output Page

  • Clean Printheads
  • Replace ink cartridge

Grinding Noise

  • Issue in carrier mechanism
