Maintenance
Inkjet printers require little physical maintenance. Software exists to automatically maintain the printer. Manual maintenance occurs where:
- Initial setup of inkjet printers require calibration.
- Periodic cleaning of printer head with water
Color Layers Aren’t Aligned
- Recalibrate the printer
No Ink coming out
- Ink in the print head dried up due to infrequent use of printer
- Overheated printer
- Multiple pages are being fed at the same time as a result of humidity
- Excessive ink bin overflowed and broke printer
Paper Jam
- Remove paper tray
- Vigorously remove paper. If the printer has an option to release tension, then press it
Vertical Lines on Output Page
- Clean Printheads
- Replace ink cartridge
Grinding Noise
- Issue in carrier mechanism
