To find what might happen and the likelihood of it happening.
Definitions
- Experiment: a defined procedure that results in a single distinguishable outcome
- Sample Space: The set containing all possible outcomes
- Event: A subset of the sample space
Probability
The probability is the Set Cardinality of an Event divided by the Set Cardinality of the sample space.
Likelihoods
Equally Likely - All outcomes have the same probability to occur

Complement Probability
The opposite of the favorable outcome probability. Its written as A’ or ~A. A prime or tilda A. Its very easy to find out. since: Probability of winning + Probability of losing = 100% so just do 100% - Probability of winning = Probability of losing.
