Proof Writing Tips

1. Write Proof or pf at the start of the proof.
2. Write WTS (Want to Show) the mathematical statement of the proof
3. If the option of disproving is allowed, test a few cases.
4. Write in complete, grammatically correct sentences.
5. Begin sentences with words and end with punctuation
6. Use hence, therefore, thus, then, it follows that
7. Use since and by for justifications
8. Be concise
9. Conclude with $\square$ or $QED$.
